upthejunction.com Limited is our UK search marketing services company based in Hoylake, Wirral. We have been involved in the promotion of websites and online merchants since 2003. Since that time we have worked with many well known online companies in areas such as B2B, personal finance and insurance, retailing and entertainment.

The public face of upthejunction.com is me, John Cronin (pictured). I have a background in IT, particularly in the areas of software development and quality assurance. Having spent over 15 years developing commercial software systems, I moved into web publishing, affiliate marketing and search engine optimisation. I am now working with my wife Sarah, offering a range of search marketing services to help businesses both large and small to better promote themselves online. Preferring an ethical, non-technical, common sense approach to all projects undertaken, I’m passionate about search marketing and always enjoy helping organisations better promote themselves online.

Sarah Cronin, who has a background in audit and cost and management accounting, is responsible for the financial management of the company. Sarah monitors the performance of our active affiliate marketing partnerships and our numerous online advertising campaigns.

Where did the company name come from?

When we first started in affiliate marketing one of the very first networks that we partnered with was an American site called commissionjunction. We liked the junction branding and adopted it ourselves on some of our sites at the time. When we decided to name our business (a partnership as it was then) we wanted to continue with that branding so we came up with upthejunction.com - and we’ve used that name since. And yes, we do know and like the Squeeze song of the same name.
