Apparently, in the UK for the duration of the World Cup, fast food kings McDonalds are promoting their “Bigger Big Mac”. (I’m not a fan of any of their products by-the-way)
At over 700 calories and something like 50% of the daily recommended intake of saturated fat, is it any wonder that Ronald and the gang have been predictably slated by many healthy eating campaigners.
I wonder why McDonalds have decided to promote this new burger? With obesity such a hot topic and in view of their recent attempts to offer a wider variety of foods (salads, sandwiches, etc) in their outlets this seems a backward step to me.
It’s fair to say that their brand is no where near strong as it was – this latest batch of negative feedback cannot do them any favours.
Perhaps, just like some of their customers, they just can’t help themselves ?
